Risk & Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial
infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations (GFO), Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients - the JPMorgan Chase CFO and Corporate Finance Organizations, as well as all line of business CFO teams.

Data Acquisition and Hosting organization within Risk and Finance technology is chartered with the mandate to streamline and single source all Transaction and Position as well as reference data strategically with the aim of removing redundancy, driving efficiencies and estanlishing a single version of reconciled data for consumption across firmwide Risk and Finance Organization.

Big Data Applications Developer with a deep knowledge of Map Reduce and the Hadoop Ecosystem.
We are looking for someone experienced in the Risk & Finance T echnology space for a Global Investment Bank with knowledge of Trades, Positions, Sensitivities, Cash flows, P&L and MTM. Experienced Java Developer that can develop applications ingesting data in to Hadoop (HDFS, HBase, Hive/Impala) from various applications, transforming data (YARN, Spark, Hive), converting data to different formats(Avro, Parquet) and streaming data (Kafka) out to consumers. Individual must be familiar with Application Security models, PII data, Data masking, Data encryption.Familiarity with Messaging frameworks, Rules based engines and Scheduling Software a big plus.

Qualifications
Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in Java development. Python, Scala development a big plus.
  • Must have exposure and knowledge of messaging frameworks. Kafka, Storm a big plus.
  • Exposure and or experience with Rules based frameworks.
  • HDFS and Hadoop Ecosystem knowledge and hands-on experience
  • Experience integrating a relational database and a NoSQL store
  • Experience developing Map Reduce/YARN applications.
  • Experience and or exposure to Spark, Scala is a big plus.
  • Experience with Hbase, HIVE and/or Impala is a big plus
  • Experience in troubleshooting, debugging and optimizing Map Reduce
  • applications.
  • SQL application development experience
  • Participate in code reviews to assure that developed and tested code conforms to the design and architecture principles and accurately reflects the business information models.
  • End-to-End experience seeing projects to completion and turnover to operations staff.
  • Preparation of documentation of infrastructure and operational procedures.
Must Have:
  • Experience designing, testing and deploying Map Reduce applications in an HDFS/Hadoop Ecosystem
  • SQL development experience
  • Java development experience
