Corporate Technology & Risk (CTR) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase's Controls, Compliance, Legal, HR and IT Risk agendas, with a focus on stability, delivery, efficiencies and people. The goal of CTR's drive to standardization, consistency and simplicity is a JPMorgan Chase architecture that fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across the entire enterprise. The disciplines within this organization are Compliance Technology, Oversight & Controls Technology, Legal & e-Discovery, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, and HR Real Estate & Global Services Technology.

Technology Operations & Controls (TOC) within CTR includes the following functions: Application Operate, Program Delivery Services, Production Services, Testing & Release Services, Controls Services, Enterprise Access Administration, and Identity & Access Governance. The Testing & Release Services function within TOC is building out the Application Performance Testing Utility, providing performance testing as a service to applications across CTR. The overall objective of the Application Performance Testing Utility is to provide a consistent, standardized, best practice approach to performance testing across CTR, driving improved performance and production stability of CTR applications.

The CTR Application Performance Testing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Executing end to end performance tests and analysis
  • Developing test scripts based upon business requirements and processes
  • Staying in line with defined workflows and use cases
  • Processing transactions from system entry to exit
  • Testing application performance delivered across applications and workflows
  • Testing applications to demonstrate that relevant performance requirements are met


Qualifications

  • A college degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of proven, strong experience with performance testing, HP LoadRunner or JMeter, writing test plans, and reviewing test cases
  • Advanced skills in writing LoadRunner or JMeter scripts
  • Strong knowledge of C ,Java or .NET
  • Experience with performance diagnostic tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace or Wily Introscope
  • Good communication and technical documentation skills
  • Experience in gathering performance testing requirements, determining what needs to be tested and why, and creating test plan to implement
  • Experience in analyzing and understanding application eco-system and performance test results, and identify problem areas and monitoring needs
  • Capable of executing adaptive tests based upon intermediate findings to help trouble shoot and isolate application performance issues
  • Capable of performance testing from end to end independently and being a team player at the same time
  • Java developer experience is a plus
  • Unix/Linux Shell scripting and Windows Power Shell scripting is a plus
