Java Web developer with a Computer Science degree and solid skills in Java J2EE and AngularJS

Major financial institution based in Jersey City, New Jersey, is seeking a Java Web Developer. This firm is building a new web based platform involving disruptive innovation and open source technologies. This platform will allow for a responsive user experience and a delivery system that allows their customers to access to their services regardless of the device or operating systems they are using.  The team is a collaborative development environment that uses Agile methodology and technology including Java, Apache, Tomcat, SQL AND NoSQL databases and AngularJS. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great team on a very interesting and challenging project. Financial experience is not required but a strong engineering /computer science background is.

Responsibilities for this Java Web Developer include:

Working on this next generation platform that involves business services that are delivered with a responsive UI and RESTful services.

Contributing to the development process within a continuous integration and agile delivery environment and solving complex problems with creative solutions.

Requirement analysis, application design and development, implementation, Unit Testing and deployment

Required skills for the Java Web Developer:

•Computer Science degree is required

       •     Core Java and J2EE

       •      Web Services (REST preferable)

       •      Web application frameworks (Spring Core, Spring Web Services preferable)

      •       JavaScript UI frameworks; AngularJS

      •       Experience in integration with multiple back-end systems

      •       Hadoop and NoSQL database experience a plus

      •       3-15 years of experience in software development required
