POSITION

The Global Multi-Asset Strategies Portfolio Analyst  will be part of the Portfolio Implementation Team within Portfolio Services. The Global Multi-Asset Strategies Group (GMAS) partners with clients to address investment challenges through innovative multi-asset research, superior unbiased advice, tailored investment solutions, strong absolute and relative results, and access to the full resources of Wellington Management.  The GMAS Portfolio Implementation team is responsible for implementation for a complex suite of multi-asset class portfolios, including analyzing, constructing and managing targeted market exposures across all the fixed income, equity, commodity and currency markets, often incorporating the full derivatives toolkit. The Asset Allocation Portfolio Analyst will partner closely with the team to provide critical support in the execution of investment strategies across a diverse set of client accounts with an emphasis on operational risk and efficiency. 

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities working across the suite of multi-asset class portfolios will include:

  • Interact closely with portfolio managers and traders to ensure timely and accurate execution of investment strategies across client portfolios
  • Rebalance portfolios in response to cash flows, benchmark rebalancing, market price movements, and changes in client guidelines
  • Monitor positions relative to client guidelines and risk limits, and verify transactions are consistent with guidelines
  • Collaborate with many areas of the firm (e.g. Compliance, Trading, Operations, and IT) to improve processes and reduce operational risk
  • Work in partnership with investors, Product Management and the Global Relationship Group on complex new account structures to ensure operational processing is in line with the investment construction process


Qualifications
Candidates should have the following skills:
  • 7 - 10 years of relevant professional experience preferred
  • Ability to manage large volumes under short deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in volatile markets
  • A background in economics and capital markets
  • Fluent with advanced functions in Excel
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness and the ability to synthesize and prioritize information
  • Demonstrated focus on risk mitigation and a constant desire for process control enhancement
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Sound business judgment
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Experience working on multi asset investment approaches with a solid understanding of the investment process and portfolio construction
