Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for daily operations over the Futures Clearing IT team in northern hemisphere
  • Partner with futures business and provide directions and solutions for strategic development from both functional and technical perspective
  • Lead IT delivery and support for Futures Clearing in northern hemisphere.
  • Develops and maintains an effective and involved workforce through performance leadership and employee involvement; driving creative growth, education, communications and policies which support team effectiveness
  • Manage effective and efficient relationships with other teams in the bank and external parties such as exchange and regulator. Be the key contact for issues and requirements to the IT team
  • Perform vendor management and relationship building

Day to Day Duties :

  • As local manager, provide day-to-day management to a small team for Futures Clearing IT in northern hemisphere. The team will consists of Tech BA, developer and operations

  • Monitors quality and timeliness of all interactive projects to ensure client commitments are met

  • Give direction and guidance to team members and ensure the effective operation of the IT team

  • Collaborate with other team leaders, motivate the team and maintain a comfortable and conducive working environment

  • Liaise with futures clearing business and provide direction in strategic design and day-to-day operations

  • Collaborate with global development team and manage IT delivery for Futures Clearing

  • Coordinate with other teams in the bank and external parties such as exchange, regulator and vendor as the main contract

  • Provide technical analysis and solutions for new initiatives and system development


Experience Required:

Core skills:
  • Good experience of team leading and people management
  • Expertise in financial market, especially in futures business and IT operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business and technical stakeholder groups

  • Experience with regulatory reporting in futures industry
  • Strong BA skills including extracting initial requirements through to gap analysis and delivering detailed functional requirements
  • Development background and experience in SDLC
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience
  • Experience in J2EE and web technology
  • Familiar with Unix / Linux OS



Supplemental skills not required, but helpful:
  • Familiarity with market wide middle-office systems, specifically SEALS

  • Experience with common SDLC tools such as TopTeam, JIRA, Confluence

  • Experience with trading platforms and market data skills
