The Senior Model Risk Analyst will perform model risk management activities for the organization, including model risk mitigation, model validation, governance, compliance, and periodical reporting to various stakeholders. The incumbent of this position will participate in model risk management projects and activities in compliance with FHFA Model Risk Management Guidance (equivalent to OCC 2011-12) and the bank's internal Model Risk Management Policy approved by the Board of Directors.

The incumbent of this position will participate in model risk management projects and activities in compliance with FHFA Model Risk Management Guidance (equivalent to OCC 2011-12) and the bank's internal Model Risk Management Policy approved by the Board of Directors.

The incumbent will interact with model developers, owners, and managers throughout the Bank and assist the presentation of findings and recommendations to major stakeholders. The incumbent will also document and present model validation results to relevant committees.

  • Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in Mathematics, Statistical Modeling, Financial Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative field.

  • 1 year of experience in quantitative or financial modeling or research required.

  • Familiarity with Excel, VBA, and relational databases such as SQL and Access.

  • Solid understanding of the conceptual framework and assumptions for various types of models in market risk, credit risk, economic capital, Value at Risk, etc.

  • Ability to understand how models are used in business decision-making and their major impact on financial statement and risk measurement.

  • Knowledge of statistics, mathematics and financial modeling. Strong independent problem solving capability.

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects on a concurrent basis are preferred.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with other internal staff and external consulting firms to coordinate model validations
