Project Management Office (PMO)





Macquarie Group (Macquarie) is a global provider of banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services operating in 27 countries. Macquarie is seeking a PMO Executive to support its Financial Management Group (FMG) across the Americas in relation to the management and implementation of projects on behalf of the Finance, Tax and Treasury divisions.

PMO support is mainly envisaged for Trading businesses including Energy and Credit Markets. Support will also be needed for Tax Reporting (provision and compliance) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Drive operational excellence strategy across the Americas Financial Management Group, leading to capacity savings
  • Leverage business analytics and problem definition for new projects
  • Lead compilation of project and communication plans at inception of project
  • Engage stakeholders to determine communication strategy throughout life of project
  • Provide project milestone updates to senior stakeholders
  • Organize development of test strategies as part of project execution through partnership with Technology team
  • Provide dashboard updates to senior management for all projects on the go
  • Perform deep dive in various areas, drawing on SME knowledge, to arrive at plan for determining strategy for resolving issues

About You:
  • Bachelors Degree, in accounting and/or finance. CPA or PMP qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a project management office within large organisation
  • Strong background in Financial Accounting and Reporting Services (essential), inclusive of public accounting firm experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Project, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented with good intuitive reasoning skills
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and research skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional and cross-border teams
  • Financial Services industry experience preferred
  • Ability to influence others outside of direct remit
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong cross functional communication skills
