Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Install, configure, test and deploy desktop hardware
•    Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop issues and recommend and implement corrective solutions
•    Manage Windows updates (WSUS)
•    Install, configure, migrate and maintain all versions of the Microsoft family of desktop operating systems and Office suites, including, but not limited to Windows 7 and Office 2010 
•    Install, configure, migrate and maintain Linux desktop operating systems
•    Collaborate with Director, Systems, Senior System Engineers and Chief Security Officer to ensure efficient operations of the desktop computing environment to maintain security and compliance
•    Perform level 1 troubleshooting of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange 2003 and SharePoint 2010
•    Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of desktop applications published via Citrix
•    Configure and maintain iPhone(s) and iPad(s)
•    Receive and respond timely to incoming calls, e-mails and help desk tickets for desktop requests  
•    Maintain an inventory of all desktop related hardware 
•    Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for future desktop hardware requirements
•    Write technical documentation for desktop deployments 
•    Maintain basic cloud phone system support knowledge.
•    Other duties as required

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related field
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Suite
  • MS Active Directory and group policies
  • Basic network troubleshooting (IP, DHCP, DNS, etc..)
  • Remote access experience (VPN/VDI/RSA)
  • Citrix client setup and troubleshooting
  • Star2Star phone support or similar cloud based solution 
  • iPhone and iPad
