The Global Investment Control department directly supports Capital Group's investment professionals, implements investment decisions and facilitates the investment process. Operating from locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, core functions include order management, portfolio construction and compliance, trade support, corporate action communication and coordination, and proxy services, among others. These services support the management of equity and fixed income portfolios for retail, institutional and private clients.

Based in Los Angeles, the Analyst will play a critical role on the Portfolio Guideline Analysis team by providing outstanding service to the Investment Group and Legal, ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are met. As an expert in guideline and regulatory interpretation and implementation, the Analyst will also provide guidance and support across Global Investment Control when working on complex transactions for our funds and client accounts.


  • Review and set up account guidelines by partnering with Legal and Marketing to draft, review, negotiate, and interpret the rules, guidelines, and regulations for client accounts.
  • Code rules into compliance system to ensure our funds and client accounts remain in compliance.
  • Collaborate across Global Investment Control, the Investment Group, and Legal on the appropriateness of security offerings and complex transactions for our funds and client accounts.
  • Work on fund-related tasks and initiatives, including prospectus changes and new fund launches.

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, investment operations, legal, or financial services industry preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree and knowledge of/interest in investment management industry required.
  • Technologically proficient with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to think broadly to assess multiple aspects and impacts of an issue.
