The successful candidate will be working closely with our business and product owners as well as the core technology teams to define and develop client facing UI’s.
The Analytics department within the Markit Group is responsible for a number of industry-leading products which provide derivatives valuations and risk management calculations for both buy- and sell-side customers globally within the financial markets. The products are both hosted and deployable at customer sites. Markit’s brand reputation and industry recognised excellence in this field, coupled with their un-paralleled access to market data and pricing information which underpin the financial calculations have resulted in the products being recognised as clear market leaders in this space. The department is global in nature with the key locations being London, New York, Calgary and Vancouver.Duties and Accountabilities
The position will require close collaboration with existing Scrum teams in the Markit Analytics product engineering area. Additionally we expect this to be the first of several hires in this area and consequently the individual who takes this position will necessarily be acting in a mentoring and leadership role moving forward. The development group within Markit Analytics is a highly agile organization that encourages significant collaboration from all individuals in the organisation. The role is focused on core product development. Working closely with the product and design teams the successful candidate will be involved in building a highly configurable UI platform. All members of the team are also involved in software support and issue resolution where appropriate.Business Competencies
