A Sales Associate responsible for helping drive the German sales effort with a specific focus on consultants, insurance companies, wealth managers and smaller institutions. We are looking for a self-motivated sales person, fluent in German, who will embrace an opportunity in a fast-growing business that is looking to expand their market reach. This would entail accelerating the development of the company and making your mark by taking responsibility for the business and its relationships in Germany. You will have the opportunity to interact with clients with a view to being an integral part of a successful and dynamic sales team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage sales effort for our range of funds (UCITS and AIFs) in the German speaking regions
  • Targeting UCITS buyers including multi-managers, private banks, wealth managers and smaller institutions
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities in their respective coverage areas and work on them
  • Help promote the brand name of the business and strengthen client relationships by being the face and voice of the business and providing outstanding customer service
  • Liaise with Portfolio Managers to brief, arrange client meetings and roadshows, answer client queries and prepare presentations in advance of meetings
  • Stay informed about financial markets in order to spot trends, look for new opportunities and establish credibility with new clients by understanding their business
  • Actively maintain the CRM system with updates on all current and prospective investors

Skills required:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in asset management
  • A successful demonstrable track record in a similar role and real desire to build the business
  • Experience and confidence of dealing with clients, either face to face or on the telephone
  • The ability to understand and convey the benefits of the funds to investors
  • Minimum B.A. degree from a reputable institution preferably within a finance focused curriculum   
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets, ideally with a hedge fund and/or a traditional fund management firm
  • Bi-lingual: German and English
  • Hold any one of the following qualifications; IMC and Claritas
  • Solid computer skills – Salesforce, or similar CRM system, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Client driven; high levels of client service, pro-active problem resolution, long-term view to relationship building
  • Client focused ethics and high levels of personal integrity
  • Self-motivated, confident, organized, proactive and able to multi-task
