Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), is seeking a highly enthusiastic new business Sales Associate, with German language skills preferred, to create leads and further drive the growth of our business across the ISS’ EMEA territories, supporting the existing team of sales executives. The role will consist of presenting a suite of Governance and Responsible Investment services to a range of asset owners, investment managers, and Hedge Funds.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), is seeking a highly enthusiastic new business Sales Associate, with German language skills preferred, to create leads and further drive the growth of our business across the ISS’ EMEA territories, supporting the existing team of sales executives. The role will consist of presenting a suite of Governance and Responsible Investment services to a range of asset owners, investment managers, and Hedge Funds.

Performance is based on achievement of quarterly revenue targets and sales metrics. This individual must be able to communicate and work closely with the existing sales team to build out a strategy for a given territory and/or a given account along with prospecting into new name accounts.

The role will be based in London with an EMEA focus and will report to the Head of EMEA & Asia Sales, based in London.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Achieve quarterly new business targets
• Assist sales team in achieving new business targets
• Identify sales opportunities, working in conjunction with members of the sales team
• Assess market opportunities and identify new business prospects across the institutional market landscape
• Ensure detailed sales reporting and forecasting for prospects into the CRM application
• Work closely with ISS Product and Marketing managers to define products, services, campaigns and marketing plans
• Share relevant industry and opportunity information across the sales group and with other departments
• Target, research and assist the sales team to close new client relationships across all segments (Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, and RIA’s) for all products.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Fluency in a European languages would be beneficial, German preferred.
• Experience in institutional sales preferably within the field of Responsible Investment related services
• Excellent inter-personal, presentation and relationship building skills
• Minimum of two years’ experience in proven lead generation, cold calling sales
• An ability to work independently or as part of a wider sales team
• Absolute personal and business integrity
• Must be able to utilize lead generating software
• Must be highly organized, goal oriented and able to think independently
• Innovative, customer orientated thinker able to identify and exploit market niche opportunities
