Our client is among the largest long-only quantitative equity platforms, globally. Strong performance and exponential asset growth has necessitated their adding portfolio managers and quantitative analysts to their investment team.

This London based team was established over 20 years ago and now runs assets in excess of $40bns.  Its longstanding client base includes some of the World's largest asset owners. Continued success means that is is able to operate as a quasi-autonomous boutique, albeit with unfettered access to global infrastrucure and distribution.

The team is well resourced by  systems, technology, and intellectual capability.  Team members are noted for their intellectual curiousity, academic rigour and the ability to see the "bigger picture".  They run a broad product range from "Smart Beta" to Absolute Return.

However, asset growth has been such that the team needs to grow, specifically adding to its existing portfolio management and quantitative analytical capabilities.

Candidates for the portfolio management roles will demonstrate  a number of charateristics: a strong quantitative background: academics and technology; experience of long only investment in global equities; the ability to generate original tactical and strategic investment ideas using a variety of inputs: quantitative; intuitive; fundamental, and qualitative; they will be intellectually curious, passionate about investment and able to engender that passion in colleagues; they may want to mentor and develop junior members of the team.

Candidates for the analyst roles will have a strong quantitative background, academic and technical (MatLab, VBA and SQL at a minimum), strong modelling skills and the ability to to research and work up investment ideas, both self generated and  colleague  / client driven . They will have worked with equities before.  Candidates with experience of a long only, fundamental environment are more likely to be more relevant, but we will consider candidates with strong broader exposure to quantitative equities.

These are opportunities to join a well established and succesful team on the cusp of further growth.
