For this reputable consulting firm we are looking for an Operations Change Project Manager with strong Capital Markets experience. You will be responsible for delivering large-scale projects across the firm. These initiatives range across asset classes, and often impact teams from front-to-back within the organisation, requiring significant management of time and resources.

Role responsibilities

  • Measuring adherence to the internal project control framework by conducting quality assurance reviews of projects in line with the bank's project control framework at any stage within the project lifecycle
  • Facilitating Post Implementation Reviews at a Governance & Control level and Functional level
  • Defining and maintaining the processes and templates that must be used to ensure that projects have a forensically robust consistency in their approach and documentation
  • Regular monitoring the quality of project management, project documentation and project governance & control to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collecting and analysing project resource demand to aid Ops capacity planning
  • Planning and development of team members to raise the project management competencies across the change team
  • Defining the skills required by the team and ensuring the team has the tools needed to perform the project management and business analyst role

Key objectives critical to success

  • Building and sustaining strong relationships with stakeholders across all teams, using good relationship management skills for the benefit of the firm and the project
  • Utilising clear, consistent, and targeted communication across the stakeholder group
  • Ensuring all projects having a forensically robust consistency in their management and project control approach and documentation
  • Reliable reporting of resourcing requirements and impacts

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

Project Management

  • A solid understanding of the role and responsibilities of project managers, business analysts and portfolio managers including broad knowledge of the project lifecycle
  • A solid understanding of project processes, methods, techniques, concepts and best practice
  • A good understanding of project risk management processes and best practice
  • Understands the approaches to be used in managing dependencies inside and outside of projects

Investment Banking Domain Experience

  • Experience working within the Investment Banking industry
  • Good investment banking product and market knowledge
  • Familiarity with the Investment Banking regulatory landscape (e.g., BCBS, FATCA, MIFID, EMIR, Client Money)
  • Front to back awareness of processes within an investment bank

Slideware

  • Highly experienced in facilitating and producing executive level communication in PowerPoint

Change Management

  • Business analysis and change background with a proven history of success
  • Clear understanding and experience of implementing and enforcing change initiatives
  • Knowledge of change management processes, methods and procedures

IT Development, Architecture & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of IT development and delivery practices and approaches
  • A working, functional knowledge of investment banking systems and technology
  • Highly experienced with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
