The Project Manager will be responsible for directing and managing projects across the JPMorgan Global Reg Reporting organization. The individual in this role will be part of the Global Reg Reporting Technology Team and will be assigned to manage high priority efforts with significant financial, process, organizational, and technology impacts. Key attributes include the ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior business leaders and other project and program sponsors within Global Reg, quickly and comprehensively assess and address issues associated with supported initiatives, and the ability to identify and implement improvements within the overall project delivery process. This individual will report into the Global Reg Reporting Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the management of projects across Axiom Reg Platform
  • Assesses resource needs and negotiates to obtain resources required/right size project as appropriate
  • Work closely with senior business leadership to define requirements and vet solutions
  • Coordinate the execution activities of the project as a whole (across all work tracks and all team members)
  • Establish the approach and define the necessary work activities (projects, BAU, etc.) to achieve project / program's mission & vision, monitor & report progress, and address any program-level issues.
  • Ensure business counterpart readiness activities complete and takes ownership for entire end-to-end project across all work tracks and all team members
  • Provide proactive communication for management to understand needs, communicate status, and resolve conflict.
  • Research, implement and evaluate cutting edge project management improvement practices to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of current planning and execution processes
  • Define, discover, document, or standardize processes as appropriate
  • Integrate planning tasks across multiple spaces within the Line if Business
  • Understand strong controls and audit requirements; ensures project aligns with established practices
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across contributing teams, various Lines of Business's, senior technology management, business management, program sponsors, vendors, and business clients
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture, and other relevant firm-wide guidelines
  • Produce quality standard timely Project Management deliverables as in accordance with the Project life-cycle
Qualifications Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross functional projects and initiatives
  • 10-15 years of project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence change and communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills, highly collaborative - can build rapport and credibility
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Competent in use of industry standard Project Management tools
  • Makes decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight timelines and pressure
  • Ability to assess situations and make appropriate, effective, timely project decisions
  • Sufficient understanding /subject matter expertise and preparedness of information to effectively communicate key messages across matrix project teams, IT or Business teams.
