About the Role

We are looking for a management accountant to support our expanding team. InMotion is a new venture that requires a team member who is flexible in a changing environment and can help define the management accounting structure going forward. This role provides a great opportunity for the right individual to make a significant contribution to a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of accounting records for the InMotion entity within SAP and HFM corporate systems, including intercompany accounts between InMotion and other JLR companies.
  • Administration of the monthly payroll, and the ongoing control of income and expenditure.
  • Accounting for subsidiaries, associates, and other non-controlling investments, along with appropriate tests for impairment.
  • Provide assistance to portfolio companies as needed to ensure that JLR reporting requirements are met.
  • Preparation of year-end accounts, tax returns, monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts, budgets, business plans and commentaries.
  • Maintenance of key performance indicators and other business intelligence.
  • Local point of contact for JLR treasury, accounting and tax teams.
  • Maintenance of service level agreements and billings.
  • Tax analysis.
  • Monitoring of local control environment.
  • Support annual statutory audit and other compliance audits as required.
  • Preparing management information /statistics as required by senior management.

REQUIREMENTS

About You

  • A self-starter, with a high degree of pro-activity; being able to take ownership and responsibility, driving initiatives forward and making things happen.
  • Agile professional able to deal with fast paced/dynamic environment.
  • Champion for driving efficiency, process improvements and challenging the status quo.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a close attention to detail, and a commitment to delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Collaborative style of working.
  • Absolute integrity and trustworthiness.

Technical requirements & experience

  • Solid and demonstrable experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Experience of early stage venture capital an advantage.
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAP and HFM is essential.
  • Experience in modelling detailed Microsoft Excel models.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
