We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Technology Services team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

In this role, you will:

The role has two broad facets:

1.Day-to-day team management of work and tasks assigned to the BA team across the Surveillance IT portfolio of work (prioritising, sizing, assigning and monitoring the delivery of work appropriately), and


2.Line management, mentoring and coaching of BA team members (a mix of permanent, contract and consultant staff)

The BA team supports multiple projects and change initiatives, and the Lead BA will work with other members of the Surveillance IT management team, Business Change Management and SME colleagues in shaping, prioritising, organising and delivering the agreed book of work.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:


•Leading project teams – ideally having managed a globally distributed team of BA’s before – from a Lead Analyst or Project Management background - working at a Tier 1 investment bank,


•The candidate will be able to demonstrate a track-record of successfully building, leading and nurturing high-performing teams (of varied experience), in which they have provided leadership and line management and can demonstrate how their high-quality coaching and mentoring has motivated and developed their people as well as delivering projects.


•They will have proven, significant and demonstrable experience of leading and conducting analysis in investment banks, ideally including extensive front-to-back business and IT requirements and data analysis, data mapping, functional and technical business analysis experience (Minimum 5 years+) for global applications (in-house built and vendor-supplied),


•Excellent knowledge of project lifecycles and application development processes including best practice methodologies throughout (analysis-development-testing-implementation),


•Proven, demonstrable practical experience of following a structured approach to planning and executing analysis, including the preparation of all related artefacts (e.g. functional system specifications, data feed specifications, functional and technical design etc.), utilising different methodologies i.e. Use Cases, Business Process Modelling within a Waterfall or Agile Project environment,


•They’ll be a strong technical writer and communicator with excellent presentation skills – a confident and efficient presenter,


•Excellent Markets knowledge across a range of products (with deep expertise in at least one asset class) - FX; FXO; Energy; Metals; Equities; Equity Derivatives; Fixed Income; Futures – able to describe clearly the full trade lifecycle(s) and relate them to specific project deliverables / objectives,


•They’ll describe how they build and maintain networks of high-quality professional relationships with the business (line and change management, legal, compliance) and partner system teams (primary trading systems, data sources, middleware, vendors etc.).
