Our client, a global investment advisory firm, is looking to hire an Investment Associate with 6 months - 2 years' experience
Our client is a global investment advisory firm that works closely with private clients, endowments and foundations to provide investment advice on asset allocation, and access to best of breed asset managers.
They are currently looking for Investment Associates with 6 months - 2 years' related work experience to join their London office, to support investment activities for their growing client base of institutions, family offices and high net worth individuals.
Associates are actively involved in asset manager evaluation and performance monitoring and are expected to be up to speed on all asset classes. This involves quantitative analysis of performance, and qualitative assessment including meeting and evaluating asset managers. Associates are expected to keep client balance sheets up to date, prepare analysis and recommendations relating to client portfolio asset allocation, portfolio performance and currency exposure and to be able to prepare PowerPoint presentations for meetings.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
The role requires a high degree of numeracy, strong excel modelling skills, and the ability to understand often complicated investment strategies. Candidates will be expected to have advanced PowerPoint skills, have the ability to produce zero defect work within tight deadlines, and to have advanced time management skills. They will have proven strong quantitative and analytical skills and be able to demonstrate an active interest in investment and capital markets. A flexible entrepreneurial approach, an appetite for challenge and a “team player” attitude are essential. Candidates would need to have a 2:1 or 1st class degree from a top tier university preferably in a highly numerate subject.
