Technical Anlayst Graduate Scheme Graduate Trainee (Analyst)

Job Description:

In this role you will work as part of the Broadridge Product Development team in London. The team is one of a number of global development teams working on a variety of systems for the financial and securities industry. The development teams are constantly enhancing the product range and you will become actively involved in the future development of these systems. After an initial training period, you will take on the active development of the product including:

* Taking client requirements and specifying enhancements and solutions that exactly meet their needs. * Developing complex applications as part of a global team to a high standard of quality.

* Assisting with the testing of the systems to identify problems and solutions.

* Implementing and supporting software solutions remotely and at the client site. * Working closely with clients and client support to provide a high standard of customer service.

* Looking for new innovations and opportunities to grow and improve the Broadridge products.

Ideal Skills:

* Have an honours degree or better in an IT related course.

* Knowledge of RDBMS and SQL skills.

* Comfortable working in a Unix environment.

* An awareness of the software development lifecycle.

* Knowledge of the Financial Sector, especially back/middle office, would be useful.

* Some knowledge or experience programming with Java or Object Oriented languages would be an advantage. Qualities

* Developing software for the securities industry requires people who can move quickly and work in a high pressure environment.

*The ability to take ownership of problems and drive forward the necessary solutions.

* Must be confident and have good interpersonal and client facing skills.

* Must have a high standard of verbal and written communication skills.

* Motivated and keen to seek out new opportunities for learning and progression.

*You should be able to identify the goals of any project and take a structured, methodical approach to achieving them while identifying priorities and setting deadlines.

* Must be flexible.



We're looking for graduates with at least an honours degree at 2:1 or higher in an IT related course. An understanding of the financial sector would be a huge plus too. And of course, you'll be flexible, quick on your feet, and always up for new opportunities to learn and develop yourself professionally.
