An investment bank that is a client of our is looking for an individual that can change the function. This is a detailed reporting SME and Strong leadership and transnational skills. This is a line function needs completely turning around. c.60 FTE globally.

The current function is in the midst of a transformational journey and is in need of a strong leadership role that:

·            Stabilises BAU operations to ensure that the minimum requirements of regulatory compliance, quality and sustainability are maintained

·            Manages reporting risk in an increasingly complex regulatory environment

·            Leads the team through a period of significant change and uncertainty, shapes and drives the transition to a target operating model

·            Challenges the status quo and proactively shapes/drives the transformational agenda and deliverables to ensure that the bank achieves best in class operational practices (automation, scalability, talent retention, stakeholder engagement)

·            Establishes/rebuilds stakeholder relationships (internal and external) to build credibility and assurance

·            Injects a high degree of people management to rebuild strength and quality in the team, to maximise our talent and develop the team for future success

·            Influences the broader regulatory reporting functions across the enterprise and the relevant functional partners to take us towards a more strategic and rationalised model

Essential Skills

·            Knowledge and hands on experience of MIFID, EMIR reporting obligations at a detailed level

·            Ability to manage global teams, c.60 resources (onshore and offshore)

·            Previous Operations experience ideally in Financial Services Industry (ideally supporting global markets businesses)

·            Structured and logical thinker – analytical and intellectual as well as competent with MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint a must

·            Partnership and communication skills

·            Strong assertiveness, listening, influencing and diplomacy skills.

·            Ability to run effective meetings and Self-motivated. Driven, dynamic

  • Demonstrable experience of reengineering operational processes including management reporting

·            Stakeholder management, Leadership and people development skills

Desirable Skills

·            Exposure to regulatory reporting across global jurisdictions (CFTC, MAS, HKMA)

·            Engaging and influencing regulators
