Change and Release Manager (Tech Operational Services)

A leading Insurance business are looking to hire what they are calling a 'Technology Portfolio Operations Service and Support Manager. You would be responsible for a wide range.

You will be responsible for a wide range of duties including;

  • Understand the IT vision and ensure suitable, fit for purpose service and support models are in place to achieve the right strategic ambitions.
  • Ensure Production ownership and acceptance of complex portfolios of transformational IT change projects with innovative solutions and appropriate controls
  • Actively work with Stakeholders to identify IT opportunities, bringing them to life, promoting the ideas to gain senior executive buy in.
  • Work with the Head of Technology Portfolio Delivery to understand the rolling strategic transformation portfolio such that the resource demand and capacity is maintained at an optimal level
  • Constructively challenge the ways of working and thinking across IT, drive improved collaboration, standards and effective metrics / MI across all IT services.
  • Provide operational governance and assurance across third-parties to manage / deliver elements of the IT portfolio; ensure appropriate third-party on boarding and where applicable, operational capabilities are integrated into BAU

Therefore they are looking for someone with the following skills and expriences;

  • Proven track record of delivering large, complex, multi supplier IT projects into a Production environment
  • Technology savvy with an aptitude to bridge the gap between business and IT to deliver service and support of pragmatic, cost effective solutions
  • Track record of building effective relationships in complex environments
  • Proven background in influencing senior stakeholders and developing outcomes that challenge their original thinking.
  • Proven background in adapting to trends and openness to new ideas.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise, and manage a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
  • ITIL 3 Qualified
