Summary:

To be the first point of contact for the day to day delivery of all BlackRock services and developing the client relationship alongside the Senior Account Manager (AMR)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands the UK client service model and takes responsibility for delivering to a portfolio of clients a high quality service offering that is in line with the service model
  • Understands client investment strategy to ensure that they can represent them internally and externally
  • Responsible for client and consultant queries, delegating to appropriate internal teams (including the Bureau), monitoring progress to resolution and ensuring that responses are timely and of a high quality
  • Builds and executes service plans for a portfolio of clients and anticipates client issues ahead of time
  • Partners with other internal areas of BlackRock, in particular Client Operations and Portfolio Management Group, to achieve effective outcomes
  • Escalation/resolution point for outstanding servicing issues
  • Partners with AMR to deepen relationship with field consultants
  • Responsible for ensuring client records and activities are kept current on Management Information Systems
  • Gathers and passes on information from consultants and clients to support sales planning/lead generation

Knowledge / Experience:
  • Demonstrated aptitude for building service oriented relationships and can effectively manage these in clients with assets up to £200M AUM.
  • Has a good understanding of asset classes and markets including equities, fixed income, and alternatives
  • Exposure to liability driven investing and advising on risk management solutions for clients previously would be an advantage
  • Able to analyse client servicing needs and work with BlackRock teams to provide resolution
  • Strong understanding of pensions industry

  • Well-grounded in understanding investment/products and the operational framework in which they exist
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • An undergraduate degree in Business or Business Finance would be most relevant
  • Advanced technical skills, including a working knowledge of Bloomberg, Data stream or Fact Set would be essential
  • IMC essential with CFA Level 2 candidate or holder preferred
  • Post graduate study preferred, ideally a Masters in Finance or Investments.
  • Continental Language skills an advantage
