Analyst, LDI and FI Solutions

What is the opportunity?
To work within the rates sales team to develop and expand the LDI & FI Solutions business and to provide fast and accurate pricing of IR derivatives and other pricing requests. Work closely with colleagues across FRM (Financial Resource Management), CRT (Counterparty Risk Trading) and DSG (Derivative Structuring Group) to identify areas to optimise capital and the resources of RBC.

What will you do?
  • Work with existing team to understand LDI sales role. Gain full knowledge of client base and their day to day coverage requirements.
  • Build relationships with trading & research
  • Build internal network across FRM, CRT and DSG - leverage this network to drive optimisation initiatives in conjunction with other members of the team.
  • Gain sound understanding of Capital and XVAs, and the implications they have on both day to day and legacy RBC businesses.
  • Consider the impacts of forthcoming regulatory change on RBC, in particular focussing on the rates business:
  • Proactively tailor strategic solutions for external and internal clients in the face of these upcoming changes.
  • Market RBC as a liquidity provider for XCCY swaps and other FRT products across interbank names - work with sales and trading colleagues to derive target client list.
  • Identify Cross selling opportunities across the bank

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • A high degree of mathematical ability- numerically sound and analytically strong
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • FSA qualified (to be obtained)
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of all mainstream FIC products
