Analyst/Associate, Derivatives Solutions Group

What is the opportunity?
Graduate / Analyst / Associate within the Derivatives Solutions Group to function as a marketer and structurer. Coverage is joint for Corporates and Governments across Europe. Provide support for senior Sales/Structurers for ongoing client coverage and event driven transactions.

What will you do?
  • Provide support for client coverage and associated service required for senior members of the group
  • Assume daily pricing, modelling and presentation generation responsibilities
  • Provide innovative solutions support to RBC's client base - predominantly targeting corporates and financial institutions
  • Incorporate derivative products with GIB related transactions
  • Structure and price cash and derivative products ( inflation linked & interest rate swaps, Cross Currency swaps, etc.)
  • Ensuring that marketing proposals are suitable for the customer.
  • Ownership of life cycle of transactions that are placed on the derivatives book and actively manage old exposures as well as generating new exposures
  • Responsible management of capital, credit and funding issues inherent in the structuring and execution of derivatives

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Educated to degree level.
  • A high degree of mathematical ability.
  • Significant understanding of debt products
  • FCA Qualified (or to be obtained within probation period)
  • Fluent in German and English.

Nice-to-have
  • Quantitative background
  • Client Coverage experience
  • Derivatives experience
