BlackRock Client Reporting Analyst (Edinburgh)

Business Unit Overview:

Client Reporting (CR) is the provider of account and fund information to all clients, custodian banks, trustee banks and consultants. Fund Reporting Services within Client Reporting are responsible for fund level reporting that includes marketing & regulatory documents. Reporting information includes fund characteristics, breakdowns, transaction activity, and fund performance.

The role being recruited will involve producing and distributing all fund level reporting for the retail business lines supported by Client Reporting, managing all related queries and liaising across multiple internal departments to resolve production/service issues .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Client Business to gain a greater understanding of the reporting requirements for each region, establishing an in depth knowledge of the requirements and client base.
  • Work with APG on system development required to support existing and new regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Work with different data providers to ensure time delivery of reports with quality controlled data
  • Constantly evaluate systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement, ensuring that all reasonable measures are taken to mitigate operational risk.
  • Apply detailed quality controls checks on all reporting output, ensuring both accurate and compliant with the regulatory and business requirements.
  • Be attentive to internal and external client needs, build strong professional relationships to provide them with up-to-date information, and identify, anticipate and meet their evolving requirements
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Keen interest in investment products and ideally financial services experience, ideally in investment management
  • Previous investment or regulatory reporting experience a distinct advantage
  • Understanding of funds and the investment management industry, with experience working in the funds management environment.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and MS application skills.
