Are you an excellent core JAVA developer with an interest in the Financial Markets? Are you looking for a JAVA developer job that will allow you to work very closely with Quant analysts and Quant developers to code their mathematical models in JAVA? Do you also have an interest in creating client facing mobile or tablet applications? If so, please keep reading as this could be the role for you!!

In this JAVA developer job, you will be a part of a close knit team that interact closely with Quant Analysts and Quant developers to provide the JAVA applications for their mathematical models. The business focus is predominantly on the Private Banking / Wealth Management space, but there is also some Derivatives trading.

To be successful in this role, you are expected to have strong Core JAVA knowledge (ideally you will have used JAVA 8 in a commercial environment, although they appreciate this is pushing it a little bit). Multithreading and previous experience development of high performance applications is a must given the applications the team are responsible for. Any experience with web programming or native Mobile application development would be highly beneficial as more and more of the business' systems are going mobile.

This job will offer you the chance to develop applications from scratch as well as refactor the code base for some of the older applications. You will also build up strong relationships with the Quants and actually work in an environment where your applications make an impact on the growth of the business.
