Business Unit Overview:

BlackRock Family Office, Charities and Endowments business in EMEA is comprised of a team of 12 individuals and currently operates with a long-standing UK Charities business and a fast growing Family Office client base from amongst the 500 largest family offices in EMEA. Collectively, the team's AUM totals $6.5bn invested with the firm already. Client holdings are invested broadly across alternatives, Index, equity, fixed income and multi-asset strategies.

BlackRock Family Office, Charities and Endowments business in EMEA has a well-established sister business in the US, where a team of 16 cover over 400 single- and multi-family offices whose assets with the firm amount to more than $11.0bn. Operating from every part of the widest and deepest investment platform in the market BlackRock's global family office, foundation and Charities business is positioned to offer and deliver a unique, uniform and value-added proposition to this discrete market segment, by nature of:

Job Purpose/Background:

Reporting to the Head of BlackRock's Family Office, Charities and Endowments business in EMEA, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing relationships as well as developing new business with family office clients across German-speaking Europe with a focus on Zurich. This individual will cover Germany in conjunction with our Munich-based Relationship Manager. This role will be based in Zurich and the candidate will be responsible for representing the entire range of BlackRock's investment capability including traditional long only strategies (active and passive), alternatives and multi asset solutions to family offices in the region, playing a key role in contributing to the financial results of this business.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Manager for BlackRock's Family Office, Charities and Endowments business in EMEA with specific responsibility for the following:

  • Design and implement an ambitious sales strategy for clients and prospects. Meet predetermined targets for net new revenue, new mandates, and meetings
  • Proactively manage existing relationships; identify and defend at-risk business.
  • Identify and pursue new investment opportunities through consultative dialogues with investors. Exploit the full breadth of the firm's investment expertise and strategies to bring innovative and timely investment ideas and solutions to our clients.
  • Work collaboratively with partners within BlackRock to meet clients' needs and objectives, both in country and across specialist BlackRock Investment groups
  • Building long-term relationships with Family Offices with anticipated business flow objectives shared by the RM team.
  • Working towards a target coverage of Large Single Family Offices.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of the covered market and prospect for new business effectively, with a primary goal of building our Family Office coverage in Zurich
  • Develop product fluency across BlackRock's investment options - including a broad range of alternative strategies, equity, fixed income and multi-asset funds and offerings.
  • Work with support staff on assigned accounts to service clients and implement sales strategy.
  • Control and regulatory: Successfully support the needs of our regulatory requirements as they pertain to Family Offices in the region. Ensure that an appropriate risk and controls environment exists on the team - that errors are escalated appropriately;
