Vice President, Group Data Management Office, Group Risk Management

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the work of the GDMO is coordinated with the Programme Management Office of BCBCS239, with deliverables aligned.
  • Establishing and maintaining coordination of the GDMO work with the BCBS239 Project Management Office
  • Ensuring the efficient delivery of Project Change Management - including Change Requests, changes to project scope, time and benefits and to ensure the Programme Governance Procedures are followed to approve such changes
  • Ensure all project documents are delivered and maintained as per governance and guidelines and that accountability and responsibility has been assigned and is tracked on a regular basis.
  • Tracking of project milestones against programme deliverables and escalating items that are at risk of delay
  • Provide technical advice and support to the Head of GDMO in areas relating to data management
  • To identify, develop, maintain and enforce best practice in Data Management
  • To build relationships with stakeholders at all levels to enhance the efficient management of data in the Group
  • To demonstrate the documented policies as they relate to data management are fit-for-purpose for BCBS239 compliance
  • To support the development of an appropriate strategy for users' data access across the Bank and shared reporting layers across the Bank
  • To develop a data management tool within the Bank to demonstrate the compliance with data management policies, and provide practical and documentary evidence of compliance with BCBS239 principles


Qualifications
Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of related working experience
  • Has project/programme office experience
  • Strong technical skills in the areas of data management, database management, ETL and the use and operation of data management tools
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to a more general management audience
  • Strong appreciation and knowledge of best market practices in the area of BCBS239 compliance
  • Good knowledge and experience in Project portfolio/programme management and financial controls
