Position Overview

Role Purpose

To partner with repurchase agreement (repo) business and technology team in analyzing, designing and developing solutions for strategic initiatives defined in technology roadmap and book of work for debt funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Collating business and functional requirements from business stakeholders and end-users, translating requirements into technical specifications and build robust, scalable, supportable solutions to integrate with various complex systems and process.
• Formulating plan and implementing deliverables following SDLC process throughout the development lifecycle, end-to-end, from scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery and maintenance while maintaining high delivery and quality standards.
• Understanding existing legacy systems and process to come up with suggestions to improve process and technology standards aligned towards target state architecture.
• Drive the design and development of large-scale, multi-tiered business applications following service-oriented architecture and object-oriented design using core Java, J2EE technologies and modern UI tech stack C# .Net/WPF.
• Hands-on development for assigned core modules and establish test-driven development approach for other team members to follow.
• Participating in design reviews, including providing feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability.
• Contributing to Level2 support, including problem and root cause analysis.
• Ensuring adequate and accurate documentation at various stages of work, in accordance with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDL) documentation requirements.


• 5+ years of experience in software development in the required technology stream

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Strong level object oriented design skills, demonstrable in JAVA, C++, C# .Net/WPF
• Working knowledge of Java Messaging Service (JMS), Web services, WSDL, REST, JSON, XML and XML parsers.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL Programming skills, writing queries and stored procedures, etc. on Oracle 11.x or later.
• Knowledge of writing modular testable code integrated with automated testing tools.
• Strong and clear understanding of Data Structure and Design Pattern concepts.
• A good understanding of performance tuning techniques and procedures.
• Good to have exposure in UNIX / Linux shell scripting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Interacting daily with users, peers and management
• A good understanding of enterprise applications and IT infrastructure and Operations is essential
• Ability to work effectively both independently or as part of team.
• Ability and keen interest to learn new technology stack and develop solution as required.
• Finance domain background or knowledge is an added advantage.


• Should be a graduate from reputed college / university (computer science / information technology background preferable)
