Working in a fast paced and ever evolving software laboratory we have a current opportunity for a Graduate Security Software Engineer to drive various security software development programs and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an advanced cyber security team that is operating on the cutting-edge of information security.
As an integral member of the global development teams the ideal candidate will work closely with other functional engineering teams and product managers assist to design, build, test, support and maintain new features for enterprise security software products that underpin IBM's strategic imperatives across Cloud, Analytics, Mobile, Social and eCommerce. You will gain knowledge in Agile software development processes and procedures, product design and integration to innovate new ideas and incorporate latest technologies.
For this role you will either have graduated or be pending graduation for a bachelor or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study, preferably with a specific focus on security. You may have gained up to 3 years of systems administration (e.g. Windows Server, and Linux) and technical experience across a range of network security systems and solutions (including cryptography, SSL/TLS protocol, Kerberos, etc)
In return you will gain a professional and in-depth knowledge in software development, product design and integration across various domains of information technology including but not limited to security, network design, network management, enterprise systems administration, and storage systems and/or big-data solutions.
- Take necessary steps to improve the safety of the work process and environment
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- DevOps and automation, Cloud security, microservices, and highly distributed systems, cognitive application development.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Technical experience across a range of security systems and solutions for Identity and Access management. Preferrably 1-3 years experience.
