Risk Analyst, Operational Risk Management (6 months contract)

General Description

Primary Responsibility
Participate in the various operational risk activities such as Risk Control and Regulatory Requirements Self-Assessments, Outsourcing, Key Risk Indicators, Operational Risk Incidents etc

Secondary Responsibility
Support and participate in internal/cross-functional projects to achieve productivity/quality improvement and participate in system automation projects which include user requirement specifications, user acceptance test and documentation of new procedures and training materials.

Main Duties

  1. Document and update operational risk policies, procedures and measures. Work with Group OCBC to ensure policies, processes and systems are in alignment.
  2. Work with Business Partners and other relevant stakeholders to improve execution and deepening of ORM awareness within the organisation, which includes training
  3. Consolidate MIS reports for submission to Management Committees
  4. Participate in the various operational risk activities such as Risk Control and Regulatory Requirements Self-Assessments, Outsourcing, Key Risk Indicators, Operational Risk Incidents etc
  5. Participate in assessment and analysis work as part of the thematic review on key processes arising from problematic processes, key initiatives, significant loss events, emerging risks etc.
  6. Support and participate in internal/cross-functional projects to achieve productivity/quality improvement and participate in system automation projects which include user requirement specifications, user acceptance test and documentation of new procedures and training materials.
  7. Provide support to the team in the operational risk matters



Qualifications
Work Experience Requirements

Profile of Candidate
  • Have relevant working experience in operational risk, audit or operations in the banking environment.
  • Good knowledge of banking products and operations preferred
Education Requirement

Academic and professional qualifications
  • Degree in finance / banking or related discipline preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Language skills
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to interact effectively with Business Units

  • Possess good analytical and report writing skills
  • Able to multi-task in a competitive environment and have a sense of urgency
  • High level of integrity
