Policies and Analytics Executive / ORM (1 year contract)

Job Summary
The staff will be part of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Team that oversees the Group's outsourcing activities and operational risk events reporting. The team is responsible for establishing Group-wide policies, developing risk measurement and monitoring the Group's operational risk profile. The staff will also work with various stakeholders (i.e subsidiaries, business and line departments in the Bank) to ensure that the Group Outsourcing and Operational Risk Event Reporting programmes are carried out effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Policy Management
    • Facilitate the quarterly policy inventory review and annual policy attestation
  • Assist with the review of Group's ORM Framework, Reputational Risk Management Policy and Fiduciary Risk Management Policy
    • Review and maintain the above policies to ensure relevancy
    • Provide guidance and advisory to Business Units
    • Provide oversight on the alignment of the above policies across the Group
  • Assist with the preparation of Operational Risk section of monthly Board Reporting
  • Alternate Operational Risk Management Committee Secretary
  • Assist with the reporting for Group Operational Risk Events (ORE)
    • Review and enhance the Group Operational Risk Events Reporting Programme
    • Prepare and report the Group Operational Losses to Senior Management and Board
    • Provide guidance, training and support to Business Units across the Group on Operational Risk Events reporting
    • Review and maintain the Group Operational Risk Event Policy and Procedures
    • Provide oversight on the alignment of Group Operational Risk Event Policy and Procedures across the Group
  • Projects / Others
    • Participate and support the project team for matters pertaining to Policy Management, Operational Risk Events Reporting in the BCBS239 and eGRC system implementation (where applicable).
    • Provide support across other areas of work within the team as and when required
    • Back-up for the Department Management Office role


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Knowledge and background in operational risk management will be an added advantage
  • Excellent and proven oral and written communication skills - ability to summarise complex concepts, and to present technical information clearly and concisely
  • Strong project management, prioritisation and escalation, and/or process skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high energy environment that is deadline driven and goal-oriented.
  • Possess positive working attitude with a high degree of initiative and drive
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Numerate, strong in data management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially in Excel and Powerpoint
