Job Description
1) Primary role: Network Support & Operations Specialist
• Respond to incident, problem tickets; trouble shoot and resolve network connectivity issues between client and IBM
• Resolve & fix defects relating to network configurations, monitoring, and/or Linux based automation scripts; provide RCA and identify process improvements
• Roll out retroactive changes, new offering enhancements, and defect fixes

2) Secondary role: Network Deployment SME (project based)
• Work with pre-canned procedures to configure network firewalls per pre-defined customer network definitions
• Validate network operability; trouble shoot & resolve issues with network set up (as needed)

Take necessary steps to improve the safety of the work process and environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Business skills required :
• Ability to work Monday thru Friday AP support shift hours : 9:00 to 18:00 Singapore Time
• Willing to provide support beyond shift hours if called on Severity 1 issues, adhoc program business demands
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good written, verbal communications skills (English)
• Demonstrated track record as a team player

Technical Knowledge (skill level required 1 - 5) required: [ 1 = no knowledge, 5 = expert ]
3-4 Expertise in configuring network firewalls (VyOS, Vyatta, VM host based firewalls .. )
2-3 Expertise in Linux scripting
2-3 Expertise in Linux OS and scripting (RedHat, etc)
2-3 Experience supporting Infrastructure Architectures & Operational support
1-3 Knowledge of Rationale Team Concert, Agile methodologies
