Global Markets combines the sales, trading and structuring of a wide range of financial markets products.

This incorporates Debt Trading, including FX, Rates, Credit, Structured Finance and Emerging Markets; Equities and equity-linked products; Exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivatives and Money Market and securitised instruments.

Coverage of institutional clients is provided by the Institutional Client Group, while Research provides analysis of markets, products and trading strategies for clients.

Position Overview


The Fixed Income and Currencies business consists of Interest Rate Derivative, Foreign Exchange and Cash Bonds trading businesses. Fixed Income and Currencies business is a market leading provider of innovative investment, risk management and financing solutions to Corporates, Governments and Institutional Investors globally.

Key Responsibilities:

As FIC Structurer you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing on product module of presentations, and on bilingual term sheets
  • Pricing and execution of vanilla option and structured transactions, and handle onshore risk management of client business within a limit
  • Running historical analysis, cashflow and MTM sensitivity analysis as required for term sheets and presentations
  • Contributing to FIC Structuring team's idea generation and dissemination of products to coverage
  • Client engagement on structured solutions
  • Liaising with internal control functions (Legal, Compliance, CRM, and EMG) and manage regional and location specific trade approval processes.
  • Assisting local business management as required on new product filing, setting up operating policies or audit process in relation to structured products.
  • Continuous exploration of overall platform and process enhancements

  • Candidate requirements:

    To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Rates & FX Structuring or Sales
  • Very strong quantitative skills and product knowledge
  • Strong networking / communication skills
  • Team player, willing to contribute to the collaborative success of the broader team
  • Quick learner
  • Programming experience in Python or similar language is a plus
  • Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is a plus; to deal with Chinese clients
  • Knowledge of client and regulatory landscape in China and Hong Kong is a plus
