This is accomplished through strong information risk governance, active collaboration with business risk managers, and providing high quality security solutions and services which enable improving the organization's overall risk posture. Given the expanding scope of Cybersecurity activities and investments in Asia Pacific (APAC), accountability and collaboration with our Lines of Business, government partners and regulators across the region are more critical than ever. To enable that collaboration & coherently deliver on our broader global cybersecurity objectives, Cybersecurity is creating an APAC Cybersecurity Leadership team comprising an APAC Technology Lead that will provide oversight for regional priorities and support the global team as we partner with business and technology leads to enable us to deliver the full strength of our cybersecurity program.

Summary:
The Cybersecurity Technology APAC lead will report to the Head of Cybersecurity Technology with a focus on expanding our technology presence and driving technology strategy in APAC, developing a follow-the-sun engineering model, partnering with LOBs in research and development, and managing the teams building systems implementing our security controls in APAC.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Plans and directs all product engineering activities in APAC
  • Ensures all engineering activities are in conformance with JPMC policies and objectives
  • Leads and directs the work of product engineers
  • Leads the development of product technology roadmap for APAC
  • Leads proof of concept research and development in line with emerging industry trends
  • Leads product design, development, and transition to operations
  • Leads concept design, product feasibility analysis, cost and infrastructure forecasting analysis
  • Leads technical engagement with audit, regulators, clients, and third parties when required
  • Leads failure analysis / root cause analysis when required
  • Provides technical supervision, oversight and problem resolution for engineering activities
  • Provides quality control of engineering deliverables
  • Identifies, recruits, and staffs resources required for product design, development, and test
  • Provides technical consultation to product management
  • Provides technical interface between development and operations teams
  • Supports program planning, engineering work breakdown structure, task estimation and scheduling
  • Supports management of relationships with technology vendors
  • Accountable for product reducibility, quality, performance, reliability, serviceability, and user features
  • Accountable for measured control improvement in domain
  • Accountable for the training and professional development of product engineers
  • Demonstrated high expertise in the domain or a related engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated leader


Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relative technical field or equivalent field experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in the area of people management on globally distributed teams
  • 12+ years of recent experience in a strategic cybersecurity role focused on incorporating technology into various LOB based on business drivers.
  • Experience in the following as it relates to Cybersecurity in a mission critical environment:
    • Analyzing complex data systems - failure analysis / root cause analysis
    • Developing, improving and maintaining technical engineering documentation
    • Performance management
    • Roadmap development
    • Product Management - design, development, testing and integration/transition/transformation
    • Compliance and governance
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems and infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in driving new monitoring methods
  • Understanding of intelligence-driven approaches to computer network defense.
  • Deep understanding of the talent needed to successfully deliver a world class function
  • Experience working across multiple lines of business in a corporate function
  • Executive presence, strong ability to communicate written and verbally upwards and to peers.
