Position Overview

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering change in OTC Rates and Credit Clearing. As a project manager/senior BA, this person will be responsible for overseeing change projects, both driven through mandated/regulatory CCP activity and internal business requirements.

The role will project manage deliveries and be responsible for analyzing requirements and requests of the CCPs, business, operations and other users of IT services, tracking issues, controlling change requests, and coordinating UAT. The successful individual must quickly understand the Rates and Credit Derivatives dealer clearing, with especial focus on Japan and other APAC markets, as well as become knowledgeable in the process flows and systems architecture.
This role acts as a key contact for the local CCPs, the business divisions and the technology solution providers for all aspects of solutioning. The role is within the Rates and Credit Clearing domain working on Strategic and Tactical deliveries in the book of work. This covers the end to end analysis of the Clearing trade life cycle.
Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Individually project manage assigned projects, throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation through to implementation and post release
  • Track project issues and risks, seek mitigation approaches and drive resolution
  • Ensure timely and succinct project communications, status reporting and MIS, both written and verbal
  • Face off to relevant local CCPs from technology delivery perspective
  • Understand local business flows
  • Capture business requirements and write business requirements documents
  • Challenge requirements where needed, explain these requirements to the functional analysts and QA teams
  • Collaborate closely with functional analysts and application owners as the business/functional counterpart in solution identification and estimations
  • Support creation of business case(s) outlining cost impacts and value drivers of proposed solutions
  • Manage user acceptance testing and test case coordination with the business.
  • Ensure that end users & support teams are correctly trained to use solutions being delivered by the project
  • Support technology delivery teams in functional test case generation and test result validation.

Required
  • Strong experience as a Project Manager/Business Analyst in an Investment Banking and/or Retail Finance environment
  • Strong experience in OTC - Subject matter expertise in Rates and Credit Derivatives products
  • Experience in OTC Clearing or Prime Brokerage
  • Good experience working with Asiapac OTC CCP’s and Markets
  • Experience in conceptualization and solution definition
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to work with deadlines
  • Good documentation skills including process modelling
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Proactive, delivery orientated approach
  • Enthusiastic ‘can do’ approach to all responsibilities
  • Ability to take direction as needed as well as being able to work independently
