About Banking Technology - Intraday Liquidity Technology
A key part of the intraday liquidity management program is the delivery of a technology solution to give management a real time view of firm's liquidity intraday. Technical challenges in the technology space include constantly increasing level of Straight Through Processing (STP) with low latency/high volume data feeds, multi-dimensional aggregation & presentation, strong transaction management for absolute data integrity, and effective fault-tolerance for maximum availability.

Role Description
This is a senior technical role and will not involve any people management. Candidate will be expected to perform technical analysis, design and development of re al-time Intraday Liquidity (IDL) platform. The IDL platform is responsible for continuously aggregating Transactions and Balances from multiple statement, ledger, payment and settlement systems in order to calculate, visualize, and monitor critical metrics relating to JPMorgan's (Cash) Liquidity, Credit Utilization, and Collateral balances and flows. Technical Analysis & Design responsibilities will also include: prototypes of solutions and build estimates for inclusion in business cases; authoring of functional designs and UI mock-ups for implementation; authoring of detailed interface specifications to enable integration of systems outside of the IDL Technology group; perform ad-hoc technical investigations; and review functional test cases to ensure appropriate coverage.
The role will require proficiency in all aspects of Agile sprint based development, including:

  • Working directly with Product Architect and Product Owners to refine and estimate stakeholder requirements, epics and stories.
  • Ensuring adherence to Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
  • Following Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) together with Continuous Integration in order to produce a Production ready Release Candidate every two weeks.
  • Designing solutions in a collaborative manner and in line with defined principles
  • Implement solutions with an equal focus on both functional and non-functional requirements
  • As a senior technical member of the team, mentoring and coaching the other team members and focusing on building a strong technical team in Singapore.
  • Participation in a rota to provide 24/7 third line application support and to perform weekend releases


Qualifications
Essential Technical Qualifications/Experience
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of Software Development work experience
  • Solid understand of Agile techniques and how to execute them in the context of a distributed global team.
  • Excellent core Java knowledge and hands-on experience, together with a good understanding of Spring
  • Good understanding of PL/SQL, and it's appropriate use
  • Good UNIX shell scripting
  • Good understanding of development tools: Cucumber Acceptance Tests, GIT source control, Maven build configuration, JIRA/Greenhooper task tracking.
Desirable (but not essential) Technical Skills:
  • Good understanding of implementing 3-tier, real-time event driven architectures
  • Good knowledge of HTML/Javascript UI development, especially with AngularJS and D3 Charts
  • Implementing persistence with Oracle RAC and Exadata
  • JMS and MQ Series messaging
  • Message standards: FPML, SWIFT, etc
