Assistant Manager/ Manager- Telecommunications, Media and Technology

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supporting the Project Management Office domains (e.g. Scope management, program/project plan management, financial management, Vendor Quality Management, Change Management, and Project Risk Management)
• Capturing of business requirements (functional and technical) and translating them into a project initiation document
• Translating project definition into a project plan based on business process knowledge, need and requirements of business management and business process owners
• Development of a business case to justify the initiative of the business project and follow-up with business stakeholders to secure approval to execute the project
• Ensure project plan describes objectives, planning, resources, budget and quality of deliverables
• Monitoring of business projects in accordance with the defined business requirements as described in the project plan
• Control the process of change to assess the impact on the objective and scope of the project for any amendments to the project plan
• Provide leadership, advice, guidance and direction to project team members and other contributors when needed to ensure/maximize overall project effectiveness and efficiency
• Monitor the performance of internal and external parties and resources involved in the execution of the project
• Develop meaningful project status reports for PMO and Steering Committee
• Leads and facilitate periodic status and risk discussions with project stakeholders.
• Identify risks and issues during the execution of the project and determine appropriate actions to mitigate these risks
• Contributes to the business regarding strategic ambitions and innovation initiatives
• Support project closure, integrating all relevant components and evaluation of results and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in IT project management domain, with at least 4 years of experience with IT solution implementation projects for telecommunications service providers
• Solid understanding of the core business processes and environment within the telecommunications industry
• Familiarity with leading BSS/OSS product suites including AMDOCS.
• Experience and knowledge of methodologies used for the SDLC (e.g. Waterfall, AGILE, etc.)
• Understanding of leading practices and frameworks used in the Telecommunications industry such as eTOM, ITIL, etc.
• Advanced project management skills; PMP or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience in IT project management particularly for Telecom BSS/OSS, Customer Care/CRM, and Billing
• Ability to travel to support projects which are located within the ASEAN region
• Strong communication skills
