The electronic execution systems are firm's gateway to external clients for electronic trading via FIX. It routes orders to multiple proprietary order management systems. It also provides high frequency DMA order management system to the clients. This position is for a hands-on FIX specialist in the Citi's Singapore offices. The person will be responsible for all facets of FIX connectivity (certification, setup, maintenance and support) with clientele from across the globe doing business with Citi in the APAC markets. He will liaise with teams regionally for it. His primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Seamless service to Citi Electronic Trading clients; a client IT facing role which is one stop shop for all IT related needs
  • Single point of contact for all clients globally and for multiple asset classes that are being serviced out of the coverage desk in APAC
  • Top layer FIX support function to shield Development and APAC Business desk from BAU queries
  • Efficient and faster client onboarding and vendor certifications
  • Act as the primary FIX coordinator and analyst for any critical business rollouts impacting our electronic trading clients


  • Strong FIX know how for addressing electronic connectivity issues.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in IT
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in developing/supporting FIX
  • Advanced knowledge of the FIX protocol
  • Good knowledge of equity front office business, markets and trading activities
  • Should be aware of various network topologies employed in the industry
  • Should be comfortable in working with multiple stakeholders that are spread out geographically
  • Working knowledge of Unix and databases
  • Able to do basic scripting in PERL or shell
  • Client connectivity related knowledge for DMA, DSA, care and program flows via FIX will be a great plus
  • Experience with facing auditors and regulators around connectivity/onboarding
  • Knowledge of order management system as well as middle and back office system
