ITEC Application Developer

Our office is located in Tokyo's core business district Marunouchi, housing Societe Generale's three entities in Japan: Societe Generale Tokyo Branch, Societe Generale Securities Services and Lyxor Asset Management.


Major Accountabilities / Principal Responsibilities:

Working in the Fixed Income Front Office Information Technology team of Societe Generale in Tokyo, you will mainly focus on support and enhancement of the tools used by the front office users.

The initial responsibilities will include understanding the current IT architecture and support of the daily activities of the Fixed Income Front office tools.

The role will require close work with the traders, sales and research teams. You will gain knowledge of financial products and technologies.

Main Tasks:

  • Responsible for application development and support of the systems used by Fixed Income Front Office
  • To interface with the system users within the area of responsibility and respond to their technology needs
  • To implement technology solutions within the framework of the technology strategy of Societe Generale
  • To understand and observe Societe Generale compliance rules, including IT employee code of conduct

Key Skill Areas & Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree student (in Computer Science or related field)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel / VBA
  • Knowledge in programming
  • Ability to communicate in both Japanese and English (orally and in writing)
  • Rigor, intellectual curiosity and adaptability.
Additional skills that would be welcomed:
  • Knowledge of financial products and mathematical finance.
