Primary Objectives:

As a part of Lyxor's structuring team in Tokyo, the candidate will be responsible for the overall process of fund structuring.

The candidate will work with different teams based in Tokyo and Paris such as

  • Lyxor's sales team in Japan
  • Portfolio management, structuring, legal/compliance, operations and risk in Paris and Tokyo
  • Sales/structuring people in other departments of Societe Generale in Tokyo
  • External counterparties in Japan (distributors and AMs)


Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • New product implementation
    • Set up operational workflow and provide documentation when launching new funds. Act as project coordinator in the launch of the new Lyxor products in Japan
    • Prepare materials to be presented in the internal committee for approvals
  • Marketing support
    • Work closely with sales people by providing a product idea and structure based on the available resource in the firm
    • Provide bespoke solution depending on clients' requests
  • Ongoing maintenance after the launch
    • Maintain the structuring services to the existing funds
    • Answer to ad-hoc inquiries from clients/sales


Required Skill Sets / Qualifications:

  • Understanding about quantitative portfolio management and/or basics of derivatives
  • Native / very advanced level of Japanese and strong command of English
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Skill Sets / Qualifications

  • Knowledge about the Japanese fund distribution business
  • Proficiency in VBA
