Background on the Position

The Global Credit Middle Office (CMO) team is searching for a Team Leader to join the Budapest team as a Vice President. The CMO is a team comprised of professionals who are strong in both risk management knowledge and technical skills with members in Budapest, London and New York. The team executes on tasks and processes related to the transformation of risk data into meaningful and useful information to drive effective and strategic risk management decisions. The role will require the global management of initiatives while working closely with the Risk Managers, Firm Risk Technology team and key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

- Manage the Budapest Credit Middle Office (CMO) sub-team of 10-15 people within the Global Credit Middle Office team covering the Data Management, Regulatory Data Submission, Process Management, and Change Management functions
- Assist and support global head of Credit Middle Office to accomplish the goals and objectives of the global team
- Manage deliverables to ensure timely delivery and a high level of quality
- Ensure key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated and communicated
- Report status and escalate challenges to the Global Head of Credit Middle Office in a timely manner
- Act as a liaison and primary communication channel between global team leads to organize the team’s daily tasks and deliverables
- Cover all aspects of people management including recruitment, training, performance management in close cooperation with Global Credit Middle Office managers
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze current processes and tasks in place and initiative change projects to improve efficiencies of daily tasks and processes supported by the team

Skills Required

- 7+ years of work experience in finance/banking or related industry
- 3-5 years of relevant management experience
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with relentless attention to detail
- Capable of communicating clearly and concisely to various levels of audiences and to both business and IT
- Strong oral and written presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Project management and prioritization skills to balance daily deadlines with strategic deliverables
- Team player

Skills Desired

- Knowledge of general risk management concepts
- Experience with relational databases and data models
- Knowledge of SQL and the ability to query complex data sets within a relational database
