We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Programme Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

  • Lead, develop and motivate the team to attract, retain and develop the capacity, capability and talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives.
  • Set expectations, share best practice and manage, monitor, coach and develop team members to ensure that they maximise their performance, meet the required standards, and continuously develop their capabilities and experience.
  • Encourage and enable productive teamwork and matrix working, by demonstrating a collaborative approach and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and the best interests of the business and its customers
  • Manage the processes, infrastructure and resources needed to deliver agreed team plans and targets, identifying and implementing improvements and collaborating with colleagues to maximise end to end integration, effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Maintain a robust and efficient control environment across the Global Transaction Team to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise.
  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Global Transaction Team management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels.
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of relative policy and governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Post Graduate in a related field or commensurate practical experience
  • Good working knowledge of all functional areas in an operational or consulting capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to create and drive large scale programmatic change in large organisations
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with business partners
  • Experience in transaction implementation projects including disposals, acquisitions and closures, and working with Group Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with Senior Executives across the Group
  • Proven ability in working across multi disciplinary and multi cultural diverse work environments
  • Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigour, including being able to contextualise data into business activities and conclusions
  • Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing large scale, complex global and regional change initiatives
  • Evidence of successfully managing financial plan
  • Successful experience in developing and retaining critical talent and building an effective leadership team
