Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Human Resources Manager, Global Banking and Markets.

In this role, you will

  • Drive Human Resources initiatives and the strategic people agenda in line with the Group and business strategies, and deliver this through collaboration with the relevant Human Resources specialists and Human Resources Service Delivery teams.
  • Partner with the business and provide advice on all strategic and operational human capital issues.
  • Contributes to the development of local business plans, ensuring Human Resources strategy is an integral element in the business strategy.
  • Supports the business in identifying talent needs and talent pool candidates, promoting career development, coaching and development planning within the business.
  • Provide Human Resources guidance on organisational structural changes and support the business on people redeployment and employee relation matters.
  • Build understanding and ownership of HSBC cultural values in the business.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Extensive Human Resources experience in a fast moving, complex and demanding corporate environment
  • A Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related discipline is preferred
  • Knowledge of broad Human Resources policies and procedures, and legal and regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong and financial services
  • Demonstrates keen awareness of market trends and best practices, confident in stretching beyond comfort zone, incorporates multiple perspectives and broader picture in evaluating and solving problems
  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of the business products and services, able to articulate business value of Human Resources initiatives and make commercially sound judgment to advise the business accordingly
  • Self starting rather than passively accepting, continuously focuses on providing quality products, services and results
  • Complies with prevailing requirement and procedures, follows through initiatives with attention to detail to achieve set targets and standards.
  • Candidates with less experience may also be considered as Human Resources Manager.
