Job Description

To manage all settlement activities are timely settled in accordance with clients' instructions and the rules laid down in the Departmental Operating Instruction Manual.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Work closely with Securities Trading Team, Account Investigation, CMS, Product etc. to ensure high clients service levels.
2. Resolve all problematic transactions on operations and proactively work closely with internal & external parties such as counterparties and the central depository to pre-empt potential service level issues.
3. To ensure all failed trades are properly managed and resolved, and, reduce to the minimum finally.
4. To ensure ad hoc projects and supporting duties assigned are satisfactorily and promptly accomplished.
5. Manage and avoid risks to client, Bank / Group by ensuring prompt and accurate reporting to clients / management, timely rectification and / or monitoring of any discrepancies including shares rejection.
6. Motivate, train and develop staff to achieve high quality service to clients.
7. Monitor the productivity and capacity in the section to cope with volume surges.

Qualifications and Skills

Solid settlement related experience

Hands-on practice in operating settlement system
Solid practice in handling numerous clients' enquiries
Mature, independent, able to work under pressure and tight schedule
Good command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
Well versed with computerized settlement system, MS Word and Excel
