We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Development Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible in analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of the fraud monitoring systems.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to provide consultancy to global and regional key stakeholders and drive the best use of fraud solutions to protect HSBC from fraud losses.
  • Collaborate with architect, engineering and technology teams to evolve the solutions to meet the demanding business need on digital frauds.
  • Manage multiple projects, deliver to meet business requirements with quality and control.
  • Lead the team in Hong Kong and China and work effectively to deliver high quality deliverables.
  • Assure system stability by proactively adopting best practices.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.

  • University graduate with a degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience on fraud monitoring technology for various banking products is mandatory.
  • Solid experience in Mainframe, Unix and IBM WebSphere Application Server is highly preferred.
  • Experience on Statistical Analysis System, SQL, Unix script, COBOL is definitely an advantage.
  • Experience on Agile methodology and DevOps adaptation in the banking environment is definitely an advantage.
  • Able to work with business to identify or define the business requirements and suggest practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, design, problem solving, project management and leadership skills.
  • Sound communication and presentation skills with good command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills to deal with people of different levels, functions and geographic locations.
