Our client is one of the strongest players in the Asset Management, looking for a dedicated deskside support engineer to join their team in Hong Kong.


  • Installation/ deployment/ troubleshooting in the enterprise of Windows 7, Active Directory, MSOffice, Outlook, MCS, SQL and Exchange
  • Market Data and trading applications such as Bloomberg, BARX
  • Handle user relocation, new Hardware & Equipment setup for new joiner.
  • Mobile Device support including Blackberry, iPhone
  • VPN and remote desktop user support , support IE, Chrome, Java, Antivirus (McAfee)
  • Supports line of Business end users through direct end user support or through projects that deliver changes to the end user environment
  • Handle user questions, complaints and problems, tracking, measuring, and escalating as appropriate
  • Assist Networking and Server Engineering team when needed
  • Assist with patching, upgrading and coordinate the testing of images within lines of business. 
  • Research new applications that might be of interest to the firm
  • Vendor management


Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum 5years of experiences in IT desktop support, ideally within the finance sector in a trade floor environment
  • Good communication skills, customer oriented
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic understanding of Networking and TCP/IP for troubleshooting from a desktop support  
  • Knowledge of Desktop Services, security and access standards and practices
  • Experienced in hardware and software roll-outs, upgrades, moves & Changes
