Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Manager, Investment Operations.

Principal responsibilities

  • Anti-bribery and Corruption risk assessment required for Associated Persons which Asset Management Group brokers are categorized as Associated Persons
  • Volcker rule counter party quarterly checking and any other required regulatory checking for Asset Management Group funds
  • Process of responding and maintaining Know Your Customer, Anti Money Laundering and Sanctions questions and documentation requests from brokers to Asset Management Hong Kong either at onboarding stage or periodic review
  • Development of end to end broker opening or maintenance process, for example, ensure proper static data maintenance which may impact investment restriction monitoring, coordinate with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Information Technology for any broker changes, etc.
  • Broker Relationship Management and to conduct periodic operations service review with major brokers
  • New and Revamped back office operating model
  • Valuation reconciliation between our Investment Book of Records and the Fund Valuation Agent's records of our local domiciled funds
  • A focused and professional Service Provider Management governance program over our outsourcing partners


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree holder
  • High level of accuracy and be vigilant to abnormalities
  • Strong knowledge of middle or back office operations in asset management business
  • Effective communication and project coordination skills
  • Well organized and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Proactive working attitude and Service Provider Management skills
