Asset Management - Applications Developer, e-Commerce Systems, Technology, Hong Kong

JPMorgan Asset Management ("JPMAM") provides investment management products and services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds.

Currently we are looking for a high performing candidate to join our regional application development team; the team is a cross asset class team which supports the front, middle and back office in Asia. This newly created position will take a lead role in projects to develop new and enhance current back office systems with our group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To participate in the development and support of the e-Commerce systems
  • To design, develop, maintain and support online fund trading and content management websites
  • To implement projects in accordance to the company standards and procedure
  • To maintain the security control in accordance to the company requirements
  • To interact with IT colleagues and users globally as per required in the given assignments

  • ​University graduate with degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Highly proficient in Spring Framework and in particular the MVC, Security, Integration, and Batch modules plus Hibernate 4 with JPA 2.
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle Database 11gR2 or later including SQL tuning and performance trouble shooting.
  • Experience in JUnit testing with mocking technique or other test driven development.
  • Proficient in common Java tools - Eclipse IDE, Subversion, JIRA, Maven, Sonar, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat / IBM WebSphere Application Server running on RHEL.
  • Knowledge in Angular JS / Bootstrap and other JavaScript framework will be added advantages.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaborating in a team environment utilizing Agile as the software development practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels and types of users internally and externally.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English is a must while ability to read/write Chinese and speak fluent Putonghua is a definite advantage.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
