Role Description:
Equities (Cash, Derivatives and Delta One) is one of the most challenging and potentially rewarding areas to work within Citi Markets Technology. The application stack consists of a significant number of interwoven applications and components providing high touch and electronic execution capabilities and risk management across 12 markets in APAC. The platform is currently undergoing major engineering work and as such there is a need to maintain and improve stability for the existing platform whilst driving supportability improvements and enabling safe implementation of the new platform.
The role entails leading a team in Hong Kong, developing deep application expertise, driving and tracking projects around stability and service improvement, incident resolution and follow-up activities and providing strategic technical solutions to the cash support footprint within the region.
The Equities Production Services group consists predominantly of business-facing teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Korea, India and Indonesia. The role would be to provide business facing support for the Equities applications working in tandem with the regional teams including the regional & in-country infrastructure support.
The successful candidate will be working closely with his/her peers in the region and also report into the APAC Equities Production Support Lead in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate should be technically astute, well organized, and proactive and also be comfortable discussing issues with business and technical users at all levels. The successful candidate is expected to provide hands-on technical support and would be working with teams in Singapore, NY and London to provide seamless support to our applications globally. In addition, this person will work closely with operations, development teams and business units. He / She also need to possess good multi-tasking skills. The candidate must be willing to participate in the work shift Rota which includes weekends. It is anticipated that this role will involve a lot of hands-on work, so technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrable track record of hands-on application support experience in a global markets related business
  • Ability to develop scripts/tools for process improvement and automation
  • Experience using call/ticketing software and exposure to ITIL methodologies around Change, Incident and Problem management
  • Ability to communicate well in written and verbal English at all levels
  • Self-motivated & proactive
  • Strong organizational skills
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and any SQL (Sybase, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2)
  • ITRS monitoring tools exposure and experienced in managing ITRS gateways
  • Knowledge of Equities front/middle/back office processes and technology
  • Scripting knowledge in UNIX/Perl/Python
